The State Highway Patrol is investigating a two vehicle collision on I-95 north in Johnston County near the I-40 interchange that resulted in one fatality

As criminal justice and corrections agencies across the country observe April 24-30, 2016 as National Reentry Week, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety is highlighting efforts in North Carolina to help ex-offenders succeed in society after their release from prison.

Inmate Tony Davis #0985653 was found unresponsive in his cell at approximately 5:00 this morning at Lanesboro Correctional Institution.

At approximately 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016, the Highway Patrol responded to a single vehicle fatality on US 64 eastbound near Shepard School Road.

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice will host an open house at the Bridges Crisis and Assessment Center in Winston-Salem.

UPDATE:  Escaped Inmate Keith Bradley was captured in Raleigh at about 2:30 a.m.

 

The State Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle head-on collision in Warren County near the city of Warrenton that resulted in three fatalities.

Inmate Scott Sica #1412673 was found unresponsive in his cell this morning at Scotland Correctional Institution.  Prison medical staff and paramedics were unable to revive him and he was later declared dead, the result of an apparent suicide.
