Storm Summary: 9 tornadoes touched down impacting Beaufort, Bertie, Chowan, Currituck, Greene, Halifax, Passquotank, Perquimans and Pitt counties. Severe storms dumped hail and rain on much of central and eastern North Carolina.
State of Emergency - declared for Beaufort, Perquimans, Chowan and Pasquotank Counties 4/28/14 Federal Disaster Declaration Requested 5/2/14, Denied 5/9/14 Fatalities - One - 11-month-old child from Chowan County. Injuries – 28 Total
Current Reported Damages – 327 homes damaged/destroyed
