Bilingual Public Safety Story Time

-

Join the Department of Public Safety online for Public Safety Story Time. During this half hour event, a member of DPS will read a story of their choice and talk a little bit about their role within the department. This is a great opportunity for kids and parents alike to learn more about the department and the people who work here. Can't make this event? Keep an eye on our events calendar for more Public Safety Story Times with DPS personnel. The November 1 event will be a bilingual reading. Two readers will dive into the world of Micha Archer, reading her story Wonder Walkers, which won the Caldecott Honor, in both English and Spanish.

When: Friday, November 1, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.

Where: Live on DPS' Facebook or Instagram account.

Who: Rebecca Martinez and Nytisha Lee-Wright; Victim Compensation Services

Book: Wonder Walkers (Caminantes curiosos), by Micha Archer

More on Public Safety Story Time
Public Safety Story Time is a virtual reading initiative where DPS personnel introduce themselves to the people they serve across the state all while reading a children's story. Viewers will have the chance to ask questions live or simply listen along to the selected story. With the goal of putting a friendly face to our state's public safety teams, we hope you'll join us during story time all year long.
