Samarcand has a special event coming April 22nd-25th 2025! We are proud to bring “Understanding Mexican Cartels and Narco Culture” training to North Carolina. This course is taught by Detective Victor Galarza the foremost expert in Mexican Cartels. Detective Galarza has taught this course all around our beautiful country for State/Local agencies, Homeland Security, the FBI and DEA. Detective Galarza brings over 1500 items of interest to show.
This course covers the complexities of the Mexican Culture regarding its history, religion, politics, law, traditions, folklore and much more. The Course provides law enforcement professionals, and other investigators the tools to recognize “indicators” of factors and items of interest of non-criminal activity versus those of criminal activity. Participants will develop a more thorough understanding of the Mexican culture, and as such be able to provide better service to their ever-changing communities. The beginning of the course has been described as a “cultural awareness class on steroids”, as it relates to both criminal and non-criminal behaviors.

This training will be conducted at Montgomery Community College, Multipurpose Room, 1011 Page Street Troy NC Building 200. Lodging is available at Samarcand at no cost (for NC Officers). If requesting lodging please fill out and submit this request: Samarcand Training Academy - Reservation Form | NC DPS

Due to the high cost of the training (free to you) please sign up before March 15th, 2025, and if you have to cancel let us know ASAP.
