The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice reports that a juvenile is at large today following an escape from a juvenile facility.
The juvenile, De’Vazea G. from Mecklenburg County, ran from Cabarrus Juvenile Detention Center, located at 822 McWhorter Road in Concord, at 10:55 a.m. prior to a court appearance. The division immediately notified local law enforcement and is cooperating fully with the investigation.
The escapee was wearing a white Chicago Bulls’ T-shirt, gray sweat pants and black shoes.
Members of the public should report sightings of this juvenile to local law enforcement officials.
