The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice has named new leaders at five state prison facilities:

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice today introduced two clinicians who are assuming key leadership positions in the state prison mental and behavioral health system.

North Carolina National Guard Citizen-Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 120th Infantry Regiment returned to North Carolina via the Onslow County airport Sept. 2 after serving a year in the Middle East as part of Operation Spartan Shield.

Two Alamance County men were arrested today on felony prostitution charges. A third man was not located but felony warrants for his arrest are currently outstanding. After the arrests, searches of three residences were conducted in relation to the criminal charges.

The State Highway Patrol has identified all occupants involved in Thursday’s collision that occurred on Thanksgiving Fire Department Road in Johnston County:

Inmate Dominique Worrell, 26, was found dead at Southern Correctional Institution this afternoon, the subject of an apparent suicide.

The North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission awarded three State Capitol Police officers with the Advanced Law Enforcement Certification, the highest such honor awarded by the State.
