The State Highway Patrol unveiled the newest addition to its aviation fleet today at a ceremony in Raleigh. The Bell 429 helicopter will further expand the Patrol’s mission of saving lives across our state utilizing aviation assets. The event was held before distinguished guests and media invitees at the SHP’s Driving & Training Facility showcasing what is now the largest helicopter of the Patrol’s Aviation fleet.
This week, state and local emergency officials joined representatives from Duke Energy in an exercise to test emergency response plans for the Harris Nuclear Plant in Wake County, NC.
