A Franklin Correctional Center offender with pre-existing medical conditions, who tested positive for COVID-19, has died at a hospital.

Offender Rashaun Mason (#1054504) died March 11, 2021 at Bertie Correctional Institution after an apparent suicide.

Nordan, 43, had been the South-Central Region Security Specialist since 2016.
