Steering Committees Meet on Wednesday, March 26

WHAT:                   The Governor’s Task Force on Safer Schools provides guidance to the N.C. Center for Safer Schools and considers future policy and legislative action that is needed to improve school safety in North Carolina.

WHEN:                  Thursday, March 27, 2014; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
              

WHERE:                Mattocks Hall - N.C. History Center, Tryon Palace

                                529 South Front Street, New Bern

PLEASE NOTE:    Task force steering committees meet concurrently from 1-2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26 at N.C. History Center. These steering committees are:

  • Mental Health & Students with Special Needs – Debnam-Hunt Board Room
  • School Climate & Discipline – Chance-Kemp Orientation Theatre
  • *Physical Security & Emergency Preparedness – The Physical Security and Emergency Preparedness Steering committee will meet in closed session pursuant to N.C.G.S. §143-318.11(a)(1) and (a)(9)

The Task Force’s Executive Committee will meet from 3-5 p.m. in the Debnam-Hunt Board Room.
