Offender Regina Davis (#0901058), who was reported missing from The Center for Community Transitions on Aug. 31, is back in custody after being captured and arrested by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Friday morning at 4 a.m.
Davis, 33, was arrested in the Tyvola Road area of Charlotte. She will be moved to a higher custody facility and face charges for her escape.
Davis was reported missing last Friday from The Center for Community Transitions, a work release facility for minimum custody female offenders in Charlotte. She was last seen near the facility at 9:09 p.m. that evening.
She was serving a sentence for robbery with a dangerous weapon and was admitted to prison on July 28, 2009. Davis was scheduled for release in November 2019.
