WHAT: Hiring event WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 2, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. WHERE: Polk Correctional Institution 1001 Veazey Road ABOUT: The Department of Public Safety will host a hiring event at Polk Correctional Institution for all positions at the facility. Recruiters will be onsite to conduct interviews and provide same day offers to those who qualify. All positions at Polk CI receive North Carolina state benefits plan, a competitive salary and an additional $625 a month. Should media wish to cover the event, please contact Margaret Ekam (919-410-1380, margaret.ekam@ncdps.gov) Visitors will be subject to a search of personal items and a pat/frisk search prior to entering the facility’s visitation area.
