State and local law enforcement officials have apprehended one of the juveniles who on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019 escaped from the Stonewall Jackson Youth Development Center.
Officers with the Hickory Police Department apprehended the juvenile identified as Mikal M. in the Hickory area. He has been returned to secure custody at a Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice juvenile detention center. State and local law enforcement ask that the public report any sightings of the juvenile identified as Christopher H. to 9-1-1 immediately.
Several agencies assisted in the search for the juvenile including the DPS Special Operations and Intelligence Unit, Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office, Black Mountain Police Department, Hickory Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service.
