Juvenile Jurisdiction Advisory Committee to Meet Friday

The Juvenile Jurisdiction Advisory Committee (JJAC) will meet in person on Friday, Oct. 29. Created as part of the Juvenile Justice Reinvestment Act within S.L. 2017-57, the JJAC is tasked with developing an implementation plan for raising the age of juvenile jurisdiction, monitoring implementation and as needed, providing additional recommendations to the General Assembly.  

The agenda includes information on a Chapter 20 motor vehicle offense diversion program, Senate Bill 207/SL 2021-123 (minimum age) components, Raise the Age implementation update, and an update on subcommittee work regarding juvenile capacity.
