Stephen Jacobs Named Warden at Tabor Correctional Institution

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice has named Stephen Jacobs as the new warden of Tabor Correctional Institution in Tabor City.

Jacobs, 53, had been the warden at Lumberton Correctional Institution in Lumberton since 2020.

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice has named Stephen Jacobs as the new warden of Tabor Correctional Institution in Tabor City.

Jacobs, 53, had been the warden at Lumberton Correctional Institution in Lumberton since 2020.

NCDOT Awarded $1.3 Million for Road Repairs in Anson County

The State of North Carolina and FEMA have approved $1,341,829 to reimburse the North Carolina Department of Transportation for road system repairs from Hurricane Florence damage in 2018.

Dare County Awarded $3.3 Million to Renourish Buxton Beach After Hurricane Dorian Damage

The State of North Carolina and FEMA have approved $3,385,724 to help Dare County renourish the Buxton Beach shoreline, where Hurricane Dorian’s storms and waves in 2019 caused beach and dune erosion.

The State of North Carolina and FEMA have approved $1,549,420 to help Craven County elevate 11 residential structures that flooded after Hurricane Florence in 2018. 

Edward Basden Named Warden at New Hanover Correctional Center

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice has named Edward Basden as the new warden at the New Hanover Correctional Center in Wilmington.

Basden had been the associate warden of custody at the prison since 2017.
