- Students attend three 15-week terms each year, taking two classes per term
- Classes are held at the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, North Carolina, and the NCJA western campus in Edneyville, NC, meeting Friday evenings through Sunday afternoons one weekend per month over the course of the term

- If you have successfully completed the Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET), your training earns you college credit for 4 classes in the Criminal Justice program. This is equivalent to one semester.
- If you have successfully completed the North Carolina Department of Public Safety Basic Correctional Training, your training earns you college credit for 3 classes in the Criminal Justice program. This is 9 credit hours.

- In addition to an associate degree in Criminal Justice, there are three certificates available: Corrections, Law Enforcement and Juvenile Justice
