Escaped inmate Stephen Singleton was captured this evening by New Hanover County sheriff's deputies. Singleton was driving a stolen vehicle and was injured when it crashed.
He escaped early Wednesday morning from New Hanover Correctional Center and had been on the run for six days.
Singleton will face charges for felony escape from prison and additional charges based on any other crimes he committed while on escape.
