The event will be cohosted by The Task force for Racial Equity in Criminal Justice (TREC), North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU Law), the Department of Adult Correction (DAC), US Attorney Office - Middle District NC (USAO) and Conservatives for Criminal Justice Reform.
The purpose of this event it to illustrate the challenges faced by those reentering the community once released from incarceration. Reentry events highlight the struggles and challenges that individuals face as they transition from incarceration back to their communities. These events provide a unique perspective for identified participants who may not be aware of some of the challenges this population of individual face upon release.
