The North Carolina State Highway Patrol along with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program will be joining forces with local law enforcement agencies from across the state by participating in the N.C. Interstate Challenge Campaign.

Leaders in the Juvenile Justice Section of the Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice distributed awards earlier this month in recognition of individual staff members or groups of staff members who excel in their duties.

North Carolina Emergency Management employees Corey Johnson and Callion Maddox graduated Oct. 5 from the state’s Certified Public Manager Program completing a 16-month program designed to enhance leadership skills that increase effectiveness and efficiency of state and local agencies.

RE: State Highway Patrol Participates In N.C. Interstate Challenge Campaign During Thanksgiving Holiday

Two members of the State Highway Patrol, Lt. Jeff Gordon and Trooper Chris Matos, were honored Nov. 17 at the Governor’s Awards of Excellence ceremony.

Colonel Bill Grey, commander of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, and Frank L. Perry, secretary of the Department of Public Safety, presented several members and citizens with awards in a ceremony today.

RE: State Highway Patrol Employees and Civilians to Receive Awards

Governor Pat McCrory released the following video message in observance of Veterans Day in North Carolina.

After learning that the Federal Emergency Management Agency has denied Governor Pat McCrory’s aid request to help eight coastal counties recover from last month’s flooding, the governor has announced he will appeal the decision.

An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a Knightdale man today suspected of striking and killing a pedestrian on Friday, Oct. 30,  while he walked along Poole Road. Wake County troopers worked tirelessly following up on leads with the hopes of bringing closure to a grieving mother.

Thousands of people across North Carolina have gotten calls from individuals claiming to be Internal Revenue Service employees, according to the State Bureau of Investigation. The callers claim someone at the residence owes money to the IRS for unpaid taxes.
