Governor Pat McCrory has declared November 29 through December 5 as Winter Weather Preparedness Week and is urging North Carolinians to update their emergency supplies kits and review emergency plans.
The North Carolina National Guard mobilized the headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 105th Military Police Battalion (HHC 105th MP BN) at Trinity Baptist Church, on Nov. 28 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol along with the Governor’s Highway Safety Program will be joining forces with local law enforcement agencies from across the state by participating in the N.C. Interstate Challenge Campaign.

RE: State Highway Patrol Participates In N.C. Interstate Challenge Campaign During Thanksgiving Holiday
North Carolina Emergency Management employees Corey Johnson and Callion Maddox graduated Oct. 5 from the state’s Certified Public Manager Program completing a 16-month program designed to enhance leadership skills that increase effectiveness and efficiency of state and local agencies.
What: M1A1 Abrams tank, AH-64 Apache helicopter and Heavy Equipment Transporter static displays. When: Static display begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015.
