Gov. Roy Cooper shared the following statement on the deaths of employees at Pasquotank Correctional Institution:
 

As Hurricane Nate made landfall on the Gulf Coast and moved northward through western North Carolina as a Tropical Depression, many counties, including Ashe, Burke and Caldwell counties, saw damaging effects.

State and local law enforcement officials have apprehended a juvenile who escaped from the Cabarrus Juvenile Detention Center this morning.

The Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice reports that a juvenile is at large today following an escape from a juvenile facility.

– The House and Senate of the North Carolina General Assembly will pass resolutions today honoring the 100th Anniversary of the 30th Infantry Division “Old Hickory”.
