On Sunday, June 11, at approximately 12:54 a.m., the State Highway Patrol responded to call for officer assistance from Kenly Police Department in Johnston County.  Police were initially called to respond to shots fired in the area of 504 South Wilson St.

On Thursday, March 9, at approximately 1:47 a.m., the State Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision involving a vehicle in a ditch on NC 73 near Lowell Road in Albemarle (Stanly County).  Upon arriving to the collision scene, the responding trooper observed the suspected driver involved in the collision to be in possession of a firearm in his waistband.  

The State Highway Patrol proudly welcomed 36 new troopers today at a graduation ceremony held for the 157th Basic Highway Patrol School. The ceremony commemorates 27 weeks of extensive training to prepare the graduates for a rewarding career in law enforcement.
